The scrapbooks of the NSCDA-NC contain dozens of yellowed newspaper clippings about the annual Pilgrimage to St. Philip's Church in Brunswick Town, a tradition that began in 1899 and continued through the 1940s. Recently, the Pilgrimage made the news again, having been revived on May 11 as one of a series of events occurring across the state in celebration of the NC Society's 125th anniversary.
